Kaizen Sprint Events

Dairy Yield Improvement
Over four days, working with a cross-functional team, we mapped the entire process and identified key points of product loss. This was followed by a root cause analysis of the losses. Total potential savings of over £80k were identified, with £26k of savings realised within the week.

5S Workplace Organisation
Over five days, we worked with team members from various areas of the site, combining short bursts of training with practical 5S implementation. This included establishing a red tag area, completing the sort exercise, setting locations, deep cleaning and inspecting machines, and developing audit and continuous improvement processes.

Giveaway Yield Improvement
Over three days, we collaborated with a cross-functional team to monitor the bagging operation and understand process variability. By utilising Statistical Process Control (SPC), we were able to reduce product weight targets, resulting in annual yield savings of £39k.

Knitted Garment Output
A client needed to increase output from their knitting department to meet budget targets. After a period of intensive monitoring, we implemented changes to the yarn picking processes and initiated a two-hourly review. As a result, output increased from 425 garments per week to over 700 within a six-week period.
